Abstract

Relevance. The development of dental caries risk factors in children with autism spectrum disorders, and especially a psychological condition lead to the complexity of dental care for such children.
The aim was to develop a program of hygiene education and training of children with autism spectrum disorders.
Materials and methods. Analysis of the literature and our own research on dental morbidity in children with autism spectrum disorders.
Results. The features of psychological preparation of children with autism spectrum disorders to treatment by a dentist. A program has been developed for the hygienic education and training of these children and the choice of oral hygiene products.
Conclusions. Data on dental care for children with autism spectrum disorders are scarce and contradictory. In this connection, further study of this issue in order to optimize treatments for children in this group.
