Treatment of periodontitis with the combination of antibacterial agents

Summary. The method of the combined therapy caused faster and expressed disappearance of the basic clinical displays chronic periodontitis, in comparison with use only metronidazole. There was the recourse of clinical symptoms as at patients with light and moderate periodontitis in both groups has been revealed, at a comparative estimation of the results received in 6 and 9 days after treatment only by metronidazole and combined treatment bactrim+ metronidazole, The nalysis of recourse of clinical symptoms after the treatment has revealed advantage of the combined treatment of metronidazole and bactrim that was shown faster disappearance of the basic subjective displays of disease.
