Relevance. The prevalence of generalized periodontitis both in the world and in Ukraine remains fairly high. One of the tasks in the treatment of generalized periodontitis with orthopedic methods is splinting. Considering this, modern interdental and provisional tireshave been proposed to restore the functional integrity of the dentition.
The aim of the study is to determine the clinical effectiveness of the proposed new interdental tires using Polyglas tape.
Materials and methods. This clinical study was conducted on a group of 54 patients with generalized periodontitis in the stabilization stage. All patients were divided into two groups: main and control. In the main group of 24 people with declared tires tested, and a group with tires famous traditional in the amount of 30 people.
Results. It was shown that the use of new proposed intradental tires improves with orthopedic treatment of patients with generalized periodontitis in the stabilization stage, diagnostically valuable indicators of PMA and LDF over time. The analysis revealed a decrease (p < 0.05) of the PMA index (w/h and n/h) after 1 month, both in the control group and in the study group. At the same time, there was an increase (p < 0.05) in LDP Vps (n/h) after 1 month, both in the control group and in the study group.
Conclusions. Studies in groups of patients showed an advantage in the use of new splinting structures when used in patients with generalized periodontitis in the stabilization stage over traditional splinting.
Key words: generalized periodontitis in the stabilization stage, orthopedic periodontitis treatment, modern splinting
