Modern data on the role of biofilm in the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal tissue diseases

Abstracts. The article shows the role of biofilm in the etiology and pathogenesis of periodontal tissue diseases. It is found that biofilm formation takes place in several stages. It is shown that gram-negative periodontal pathogens emit factors of aggression, which largely determine the clinic of periodontal tissue diseases, cause the formation of a periodontal pocket and lead to the destruction of the aiveolar bone.
